Indian football team right-back  Rahul Bheke  will miss the upcoming tie in the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers against Bangladesh owing to an injury, which is to be held at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata on October 15. The team announced the same on their social media handles and wished him a speedy recovery. Rahul Bheke made his debut for India in the King's Cup in their defeat to Curacao. Since then, he has been a regular figure in the right-back position and featured in both the World Cup Qualifiers matches for India, in their 1-2 loss to Oman and 0-0 draw against Qatar. The pre-season camp will begin in Guwahati from Thursday. Pritam Kotal  is expected to step up in the absence of Bengaluru FC full-back. Bheke's injury only aggravates head coach Igor Stimac's injury issues. All India Football Federation general secretary Kushal Das has held discussions with Croatian Football Federation chief Davor Suker . The All India Football Federation and the Croatian Football Federation are in talks regarding a friendly match between the two countries early next year, according to a report in  The Times of India . Kushal Das, general secretary of the AIFF, has travelled to the Croatian capital of Zagreb to meet with CFF president Davor Suker. Das was accompanied on the visit by the Indian men’s senior team head coach Igor Stimac. Das has stated that a Croatian delegation, which will include Suker, will reach India on November 27 to sign a Memorandum of Understanding between the two countries. “This was our first meeting. While admitting that it was torture to miss the Qatar game in the World Cup Qualifiers, Sunil Chhetri has asserted that he was proud of the team’s monumental performance. The skipper also added that even though India have just one point in two games, the confidence in the camp is incredible. Indian football coach Igor Stimac on Saturday said that his team has nothing to fear in its second World Cup qualifier against Asian champions Qatar despite coming off a painful 1-2 defeat in the campaign opener at home. India let in two late goals -- in the 82nd and 90th minute -- after taking an early lead against Oman in Guwahati on Thursday to begin their campaign on a losing note. India are playing their second game on Tuesday. The team reached here on Saturday ahead of the match against Qatar, who had won the Asian Cup in January and are expected to pose a tougher challenge to the visitors.
